This policy explains what GoChinChin processes during the invite-only beta, why we process it, and the controls available to you.

GoChinChin is an 18+ social matching service operated by the GoChinChin beta team. Questions about privacy or data rights can be sent to privacy@gochinchin.com.
2. Data we process
We process account identity, age confirmation, profile and preference information, location choices, availability, messages, reactions, meeting plans, safety reports, verification status, device and product telemetry, and information you deliberately provide to Chin. Optional sources can include photos, files, voice notes, calendar or activity imports, and connected services.
3. AI personalization
Chin uses AI services to moderate content, transcribe audio, translate messages, and propose reviewable profile signals, matches, activities, venues, and conversation ideas. AI cannot accept a match, open a chat, confirm a meeting, or change privacy settings for you. You can review, hide, or delete extracted profile signals.
4. Private source material
Raw uploads, source notes, voice recordings, connector tokens, and embeddings are private. Other users receive only allowed profile fields and safe derived match explanations. We do not place raw private source material in match explanations, analytics, or public profiles.
5. How we use data
We use data to provide authentication, personalization, matching, messaging, meeting coordination, translation, notifications, fraud prevention, moderation, safety operations, customer support, reliability monitoring, and measurement of beta outcomes. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
6. Service providers
We use vetted infrastructure and product providers to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication and data infrastructure, Vercel for web hosting, OpenAI for AI functions, Apple for iOS distribution and push services, and PostHog for privacy-filtered product analytics. Optional venue, event, and connector providers receive only the information necessary for the requested feature.
7. Safety and moderation
Text, images, and voice transcripts may be screened before storage or delivery. Reports, blocks, unusual activity, and urgent safety actions may be reviewed by authorized operators. We may preserve limited records when needed to investigate abuse, protect people, or comply with law.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain personal data while your account is active and as needed for the beta. You can export or permanently delete your account from Profile data controls. Deletion removes account data, private files, embeddings, connector data, and authentication identity, subject to short-lived backups and legally required safety records.
9. Your choices and rights
You can control matching intentions, geography, availability, profile signal visibility, connected services, notification preferences, blocks, and reports. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection by contacting us.
10. International processing and security
Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate. We apply access controls, encryption in transit, row-level database security, private storage, audit events, and least-privilege server functions. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
11. Adults only and changes
GoChinChin is not intended for anyone under 18. We may update this policy as the beta changes and will show a new effective date or request renewed consent when required.
